Established in April, 2008, Ultimate Swimming is a year
round competitive swim team and educational swim program for
Chicago area swimmers of all ages and abilities. Ultimate
Swimming offers professional coaching
and swim instruction, with an emphasis on developing
skills and proper stroke technique. All swimmers,
regardless of ability, receive individual attention from our coach,
and are encouraged to work hard towards reaching their full
potential as an athlete.
Ultimate Swimming is affiliated with USA Swimming, the governing
body of swimming in the USA, and our swimmers compete regularly in
swim meets throughout the Chicagoland area and beyond.
In addition to our swim team, Ultimate Swimming also conducts a
6 week Stroke Clinic in the Spring for those who wish to learn
the fundamentals of the four competitive strokes, but are not quite
ready to be a member of a swim team.
Ultimate Swimming uses the 50 meter outdoor pool at
Adventure Bay Park, Hillside, run by Memorial Park
District, to conduct swim practices during the summer.
This allows swimmers to practice in a 50 meter (Long
Course) pool during the Long Course competitive swim season.
Further, through it’s relationship with Memorial Park
District in Hillside, Ultimate Swimming is proud to be able to
offer it’s senior swimmers the opportunity to
obtain lifeguard training, and teach youth swim lessons during
the summer. In fact, some of our younger team members were
actually taught how to swim by our older team members!
ULTIMATE SWIMMING is a non profit corporation with
501(c)3 tax exempt status, and is run by an elected
parent Board of Directors. Board meetings are held the 2nd
Monday of each month, and all members are welcome to attend.
Ultimate Swimming encourages all parents to be involved in
team activities and fundraisers.
We are constantly growing and training young swimmers to
maintain a well rounded competitive swim team.
